Important safety information
- Ask your healthcare practitioner if 50 mg of zinc is right for you. The US NIH gives 40 mg a day from all sources as the upper limit for adults.
- Consult your healthcare practitioner before use if you are pregnant, lactating, on medication or have any health condition.
- Do not exceed the medically recommended dose or take with other sources of supplemental zinc.
- Too much zinc can cause nausea, dizziness, headaches, upset stomach, vomiting and loss of appetite; over a long time it can lower copper levels and immunity (US NIH).
- Zinc can reduce the absorption of quinolone and tetracycline antibiotics and penicillamine; these need to be taken hours apart (US NIH).
- Do not use if the seal under the cap is broken or missing. This product is a dietary supplement. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
